A Six-Week After-School Club Rooted in Play, Nature & Creativity
Tuesdays | 3:30 PM – 5 PM
For children aged 4–10 | Led by Artist Tricia & Therapeutic Play Practitioner Rachel Worthington.

Join us for a nourishing six-week after-school journey where we gently bring the magic of nature indoors—and head out into the woods whenever the weather allows.

Nature Inside & Out is a slow-paced, grounding and joy-filled club for children aged 4–10, designed to help them unwind after the school day and reconnect to themselves through creative nature-based play.

Each session is a soft landing after a busy day, a space where children can just be. Together, we’ll explore nature through the senses, make beautiful things with our hands, and follow the natural flow of the afternoon, whether that means sand tray therapy, weaving with willow, or sitting quietly listening to the birds.

If the weather is kind, we’ll spend part of each session in the woods—building willow tipis, making mini habitats, noticing seasonal changes or simply lying back and listening to the wind in the trees. Inside, we’ll continue the magic with art practices that might include visual Art, crafts, natural painting, mandala-making, or crafting with gathered treasures.

At the heart of it all is a sense of freedom, connection, and deep acceptance. There’s no pressure to perform or "do it right" just space to explore, create and be fully themselves. With a therapeutic play practitioner supporting each session, we hold space gently for children’s feelings, friendships and unique ways of engaging.

đŸŒŒ What the Sessions Look Like:

  • Nature-Based Exploration – indoors and out: from woodland wanders and sensory games to nature listening and sand tray therapy

  • Art & Making – creative sessions using natural materials: painting, weaving, clay, storytelling through art, and more

  • Time in the Woods (weather permitting) – building tipis, collecting treasures, grounding play and imaginative freedom under the trees

  • Calm, Grounded Transitions – soft rhythms that help kids decompress and shift gears after a structured school day

  • Child-Led Flow some days are lively and muddy, some are quiet and dreamy and all are welcome

🍃 Why Families Love It:

  • Freedom to Be Themselves – every child is accepted exactly as they are, with no pressure or expectations

  • Friendship & Bonding – shared play, trust and creativity help children connect in gentle and joyful ways

  • Supports Emotional Wellbeing – nature, play and creativity offer grounding, soothing tools for big feelings

  • Fuels Imagination & Curiosity open ended play invites wonder and creative exploration

  • Nurtures the Whole Child – emotionally, socially, creatively and spiritually

  • Held with Care – by facilitators who are experienced, compassionate and deeply child-centered

This isn’t just an after-school club—it’s a weekly exhale, a little wild freedom, and a creative nurturing space for your child to feel safe, seen and inspired.
