Growing up with a brother or sister who has extra needs can be wonderful, but it can also mean sharing a lot of family energy. Flower Child is a Sunday sanctuary created just for them to focus on their own feelings, take up space, and just be kids.
What We Will Do
Circle & Animal Oracle Cards: We will begin with a peaceful meditation circle and pull an Animal Oracle card to discover our "wild inner companion" for the day.
Expressive & Intuitive Painting: Next, we’ll roll out big sheets of paper for an intuitive painting session. This gives your child a complete opportunity to be messy, carefree, and creative! (Please make sure to bring overalls or old clothes you don't mind getting paint on.)
Mindful Break & Wishing Tree Walk: We will take a relaxing break and, if the children feel like it, take a gentle walk to the local wishing tree to connect with nature.
Lino & Foam Printmaking: Afterward, we will try lino or foam printing to create a personalized print of a favorite symbol, animal, or word to take home as a keepsake from the day.
Closing Circle: We will finish back together in our circle with a talking stick and gentle closing reflection to leave everyone feeling calm and grounded.
